Lighting in a business does several jobs at once: it lets people work comfortably, sells products, sets the mood of a restaurant, and gets everyone out safely if the power fails. It also accounts for a significant share of many businesses’ energy use.
What we install
- LED upgrades replacing fluorescent, halogen and older discharge lighting
- Office lighting with good glare control and suitable light levels for screen work
- Retail lighting: track, display and feature lighting that renders colour well
- Hospitality lighting: dimmed, layered and scene-controlled schemes
- Exterior lighting: signage, façades, car parks and entrances
- Emergency lighting: escape routes, open areas and high-risk task areas
Controls
Presence detection, daylight-linked dimming and time scheduling cut energy use without anyone having to remember to switch off. In hospitality and retail, scene control lets staff set the room correctly with one button.
Emergency lighting
Emergency lighting is a life-safety system. It needs to be designed for the escape routes and use of the building, installed with the correct fittings and duration, and tested on a regular schedule with records kept. We can take care of installation, testing and the logbook, as part of electrical maintenance if you prefer.
